COVID-19 Update (August 2020):
We continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and its effects in Bexar County and the surrounding areas. Currently we are open at all our locations and conducting normal business hours. We want to help decrease the risk to our patients by making sure they do not have to go to an emergency room for eye related problems.
We understand that many of our patients come from vulnerable populations. They are at increased risk of contracting and bearing the consequences of the virus. To minimize our patients’ exposure, we have implemented measures in our offices to help combat COVID-19. These include increased cleaning efforts of common areas, instituting social distancing in our waiting rooms, implementing “curbside care” for many of our visits, and using new and innovative cleaning technology to ensure thorough disinfection.
We also screen all our employees, patients, and visitors as they enter our offices with temperature checks and questionnaires. All patients and staff are required to wear masks throughout their office visit. Further, our patient traffic has been diminished by only allowing patients into our offices. Guests and children are asked to wait outside or at home if they are able. This helps minimize the risk of incidental exposure.
We hope that our efforts contribute to a speedy resolution to the pandemic while affording the best possible care to our patients. Please stay safe, healthy, and we hope to see you soon in our offices.
